Anthony Nassar
Founder, Principal
Anthony Nassar launched
Venture Momentum, Inc. because he has a passion for
helping entrepreneurs start an innovative venture, and grow it into a successful business.
He brings to Venture Momentum's clients 20 years of financial
management experience. Anthony has advised start-ups and small businesses as a
financial management consultant and
contract CFO on various matters including angel and venture financings, acquisitions,
business plans, due diligence, accounting systems automation, financial reporting,
internal controls, stock options plans and employee benefits.
Throughout his various assignments, he advised companies on transactions valued at well over $100 million, including private
equity financings, acquisitions, real estate, portfolio and treasury management.
Anthony is the developer of the
VMI Financial Roadmap, an impressive
financial modeling framework often praised by investors. He leads workshops on financial modeling and
financial operations for startups. He presented for SDForum, the
Berkeley Business Plan Competition, The Lester Center for
Entrepreneurship & Innovation Best practices Series, San Jose State
University, Technology Ventures Corp., eBIG,
and SiliconFrench.
Prior to launching
Venture Momentum, Anthony was Vice President of
Corporate Planning with Nexcom Technology, Inc., a Silicon Valley semiconductor start-up,
where he directed all business planning, risk management and human resources functions. He
participated in contract negotiations with intellectual property licensees of the
companys patented Flash memory technology and presented the companys business
plans to strategic alliance partners and outside investors. He directed due diligence
efforts in connection with the acquisition of
the company by Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc.
Prior, Anthony was a Senior Consultant
with a consulting group in Europe, where he advised clients worldwide in corporate planning, mergers and
acquisitions, and global asset management, covering such industries as electronics,
information technology, construction management, waste management, real estate and
hospitality. Anthony headed the firms information technology and assisted
clients in the areas of financial and hotel information systems, and productivity tools.
Previously, Anthony held several positions as Corporate
Planning Principal, Controller and Project Manager with Fair Isaac
Corporation, a
leading provider of credit scoring and decision-making solutions based in San Rafael, CA.
As Controller, he managed the entire finance, accounting and purchasing functions of the
company, and was instrumental in reengineering the companys financial information
systems. He was actively involved in the companys Initial Public Offering in 1987.
Anthony holds an MBA in Finance from New York University,
an MS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from
Ecole Centrale de Paris in France.
